Using the Ohio-ized International Fire Code as an exemplar. this presentation will focus on using Federal, State and local regulations and standards to perform planning and enforcement activities for transportation and fixed site hazmat occupancies. This will include common inspection practices, developing a relationship with planners and inspectors from other agencies, and best practices

Participants will have a basic understanding of what the fire code is and its use to make occupancies safer.
Participants will understand the differences between regulations, standards, and guidelines.
Participants will develop and understanding of how to gain access to perform inspections, conduct an inspection, and document the inspections throughly.
