This session will discuss some of the many situations where hazard\ous materials could be impacted or involved within a wildland incident. There are many hidden and unexpected or anticipated situations where hazardous materials could become involved or impacted by an unexpended wildfire as it blows through a community or even in the backcountry. This will be an open forum format, so come bring your stories and join the conversation. We will also discuss the potential of adding a hazmat component to Type 1 and 2 IMTs to give timely and informed advice to multiple levels within the IMT.

The participant will be able to identify the potential of the involvement of hazardous materials involvement within a wildland incident.
