Glenn has over twenty-seven years of experience in the fire service, emergency management, hazardous materials response, and occupational safety. He is the Assistant Chief of the Fairview Rural Fire Department in Apex, North Carolina and is an Improvement Specialist at North Carolina State University Industry Expansion Solutions where he teaches classes in hazardous materials, occupational safety, and other related areas. Glenn has operated his own consulting company in the past and is a Hazmat Technician, Specialist, On-Scene Incident Commander, and Hazmat Instructor. He is a member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs' Hazardous Materials Committee, is a Past President of the North Carolina Association of Hazardous Materials Responders, and completed a Masters of Occupational Safety at East Carolina University and a Graduate Certificate in Community Preparedness and Disaster Management at the University of North Carolina. Glenn is also a Certified Safety Professional, Executive Fire Officer, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, and Certified Fire Protection Specialist.
