Monique Lewis is a Certified Safety Professional and partner in an Environmental, Health, and Safety consulting firm that specializes in HazMat emergency response, confined space rescue, and training. Ms. Lewis began her HazMat career after Hurricane Katrina with the development and program management of a private HazMat brigade and having developed a true passion for the industry, joined her local volunteer fire department. She graduated from the Cyrstal Coast Fire Academy in 2014 with Firefighter II, General Technical Rescue, and EMT I and has continued her training and education. As an Operations Manager with NWFF Environmental, Ms. Lewis has learned to integrate regulatory compliance with field operations to develop effective and efficient response, recovery, and restoration solutions. She currently serves as the HazMat officer at the volunteer fire department in Kodiak, AK, and as the Company Commander for the Kodiak detachment of the Alaska State Defense Force.
