Dr. Keith Silverman is a former Chief Operations Officer in the chemical industry. He is a NJ certified firefighter, fire inspector, fire instructor and incident manager. Keith is also a former fire chief with experience in municipal and industrial response, incident management and emergency preparedness, technical resuce and hazardous materials. Throughout his career, he has specialized in the hazards and risks posed by chemicals and hazardous materials. This includes strategies and best practices for minimizing risk, responding to a broad range of emergencies involving hazardous materials (natural disasters, mechanical and process failures, transportation emergencies, technical rescues), and managing incidents around the world. He is a frequent presenter on topics such as safety, process safety, hazardous materials, and incident management. Keith is the past Chair of the National TRANSCAER® Executive Committee and a member of the IAFC Hazardous Materials Committee.
