Field Forensic Application Scientist 908 Devices Fort Worth, Texas, United States
While providing broad coverage for screening of VOCs, TICs, and gamma radiation, traditional area monitors lack the ability to identify, by name, more toxic threats such as chemical warfare agents (CWAs) and pharmaceutical based agents (PBAs). While there are many CWA detectors on the market, the ability to emplace and remotely monitor a device is less common. Furthermore, the ability to identify aerosolized threats is limited. The utilization of newer technologies, such as the MX908 Beacon, provide a significant advancement in area monitoring capabilities for the detection and identification of vapor and aerosol chemical warfare agents (CWAs) and pharmaceutical based agents (PBAs) through remote operation and data viewing for extended durations.
Learning Objectives:
The participants will learn about traditional air monitoring technologies along with their strengths and limitations.
The participants will learn about newer technologies providing air monitoring coverage of newer threats undetectable by traditional air monitoring technologies.
