This course is meant for HazMat responders who are in need of shaking off the rust. In a clear and concise manner, core concepts of HazMat response will be presented in hopes of refreshing information that attendees have learned in the past. From hazard classes, placarding, transportation methods, basic chemistry, air monitoring equipment and mitigation techniques. Attendees will leaving feeling like they just fast-forwarded a 40 hr HazMat Tech course. This course is intended for responders that could use a back to basics training that reignites their confidence in what they know.

Learning Objectives:

  • The participant will leave feeling confident in the core concepts of HazMat Scene response to the level of a HazMat Technician.
  • The participant will learn and/or relearn the most important portions of a 40 hr HazMat Technician course.
